Lesson learned, you get what you pay for! Two of the bridge contacts on the switches were assembled 1/2 turn out of position, even after correcting that mistake the resistance readings are not anywhere near accurate. My resistance readings were checked with a Simpson 260 meter so I am confident with the results.

If you do any auto electronic repair and diagnostics this tool is the hot ticket. You can feed resistance into the computer and make it think it’s seeing some thing. And for testing any kind of digital gauge this is to go to Tool.

This is worth buying if you're a novice and just getting it for hobby purposes, such as load testing AA, AAA, 9V, C, D, and button cell batteries before throwing them away. Also, you can avoid throwing away something that works, thinking the battery was good to go, thus bad equipment.Can't beat the price and it's easy to just dial up the total resistance. The lower (.1 - .9 and 0 - 9) readings are inaccurate. However, when you use them in combination with higher (10s, 100s, & 1000s), the value is within the margin of error or close enough for hobbyists. Plus, you can play around, adding more resistance to get close enough for what you want.For usage, it is more convenient to connect a big enough fork spade connector connected to the Resistance Box posts. The other end can be any type connector. I built the connector, and crimping isn't my cup of tea. No originality here; I saw a video demo of this box and saw the connectors used. The seller should consider including wire connectors even if the price increases a couple more dollars.I returned my first box for the resistance reading shortcomings that I mentioned. The replacement has the same shortcoming. But, I shall keep it because I think it is worth what I paid and what I intend to use it for, thus I rate it 4-stars.
